We’re starting to get ready for our newest sculpture. La Luna, by Lars Widenfalk, will be installed in Chatham Pond, at the Newport News Green Foundation’s Chatham Trail on August 12. We’ll celebrate this new sculpture with the Green Foundation at Party at the Pond in September.
Starting Friday, you’ll see conservators working on “Carambola” at the Main Street Library, repairing cracks, removing rust, and giving this sculpture a new patina. Work starts this weekend, will pause, and then resume in June. We can’t wait to see this joyful figure restored to its original self!
