While Man and Crocodile has arrived in Newport News, and all site preparation is complete, a major part of our process and programming is to have the artist present to assist with installation and to engage with the community. Artist Girolamo Ciulla lives and works in Pietrasanta, Italy. While we had planned to install and unveil this work in April 2020, the spread of COVID-19 has delayed our plans. We can install the sculpture in one day, and we will install and unveil this sculpture as soon as the situation permits.
